So I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more new information in it. I realize that this information is very hard to come by, but it seems the author didn't go as far as she could have to try to find it. There were primary sources that she didn't pursue. In the Midst of Alarms examined the experiences of women in the War of 1812 She has also written a children's book about the Battle of the Windmill in 1838.
